Question
Our Store Development department is responsible for the delivery of new stores or refits of existing stores, in (mainly) the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa). These can be own stores or franchise organizations.
The Windows department is responsible for the realization of the concepts of the shop window materials and the delivery to the European stores of these materials.
The SILS solution
A dedicated cross-dock operation. Normally we store incoming goods in our warehouse. From the stock we take care of the order picking and distribution to the (final) customer.
With a cross-dock shipment, an item is not taken into stock, but it leaves our warehouse more or less immediately. For PVH Europe this means that we receive goods from different suppliers for each project. The goods are checked upon receipt and are consolidated at store level and shipped to a retail address within a specified deadline.
Complex project logistics like this require a specific approach. A number of dedicated Account Representatives manage the planning of each project, monitor and communicate progress with all stakeholders involved and make adjustments where necessary. Naturally in close consultation with our contact persons at PVH.
Also in our Logistic Center, a dedicated team of warehouse employees works on these projects.
